Elections in four northern Kosovo municipalities, brought about when ethnic Serb representatives resigned in protest in November, have been pushed back to April 2023. The Kosovar government says the move aims to defuse recent tensions in the region. Serbia’s President has held a national security meeting after unrest in northern Kosovo. There have been explosions, gunfire and roadblocks in an area where the majority of the population are ethnic Serbs.
