An Israeli missile strike put the Damascus International Airport out of service on January 2, the second such attack in seven months. The Syrian army said in a statement that a volley of air-launched missiles had hit the airport at 2 am. Israeli officials say the attacks are meant to disrupt Tehran’s increasing use of aerial supply lines to deliver arms to allies in Syria and Hezbollah.
